Yesterday I wasted a lot of time. I tweaked my code a little and ran it over and over again without thinking about what was actually wrong. It obviously made me feel very stressed and frustrated. It happened even though I thought that I could easily recognize such moments and get myself back to my senses.
A nice solution I've found is to open an empty file and write down my entire thinking process: make guesses, plan further actions, explore options, etc. It helps me to stay present and focused. Besides, I can save such a file and later revisit it to gain insights into what I was working on at the moment, and how I proceeded, if I ever need it later.
It is similar to WorkingMemory.txt
